The Kartini Foundation operates completely through the efforts of
its volunteer Board of Directors, and volunteer staff.

These volunteers perform all the tasks associated with running a small,
non-profit organization, such as corresponding with donors and processing
grant applications. At the present time, office space, most office supplies
and office machines are also donated by Foundation supporters. This
makes it possible for the Foundation to use over 95% of all contributions
it receives for direct grants for medical treatment of children suffering
from eating disorders.
